Club Trails on Private Lands<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The club has the ability to insure private landowners for liability on trails that they agree to allow the public to walk. We now have several signed contracts with private landowners for the use of trails on their property. Some of these are in development. The following trail can be used now.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cupples Trail<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thanks to the generosity of Claire and Will Cupples, this small trail network can be accessed from a farm driveway on the south side of North End Road and just east of #2670. There is ample parking on the grassy shoulder near the trail sign, but please park perpendicular to the road to provide room for others to park and do not park here until the land dries as car tires have made a mess of the ground. The 2 km trail loop is well marked on this 38 acre property.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This property adjoins the Salt Spring Island Conservancy\u2019s North View Nature Reserve, so in the future it may be possible to connect the two trail systems. The Cupples Trail is also close to the Jack Foster Trail and could be combined with it for a day\u2019s outing in the north end of the island.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
